Balance of Truth
Balance of Truth
The concealing of our secret sin, the hypocrisy of living a life of letting others believe you do not falter, covering up our sin with lies and betrayal, all lead to one thing: separation from God. The falsehood of living with a near perfect persona, while still deeply seeded in a rooted sinful life, will eventually implode. The message is this: we cannot live both lives--one full of darkness and deplorable sinful ways and the other walking with God in the light, love and grace He richly pours out to all who shed their old life and follow closely along the new path He redirects us to by taking on this new life in Christ. We cannot lie about what we are doing. God knows all of it and even if the people around us don't for now. God will pull back the curtain and your sins will eventually be exposed. The Lord wants nothing more than to be in relationship with you. He wants nothing to come between you and Him. Sin separates.
And yet, sometimes we are tested--we are accused of wrongdoing when there is no merit. If this is you today, trust that the Lord of Lords, the God Almighty, the Mighty Counselor knows this truth. He sees your integrity, He knows your blameless state of being and He will be there for you while others may point accusations at you that are baseless and unfounded. Trials will come, often with no preparation. Trust that God knows where you are today. There is a balance of truth and the truth shall set you free. We are free in Christ. Keep on the path He set before you--it leads to an eternal freedom that cannot be found in this world.
“If I have walked with falsehood and my foot has hastened to deceit; (Let me be weighed in a just balance, and let God know my integrity!)--Job 31:5-6
We are better together.
