Pray. Coffee. Repeat.
Pray. Coffee. Repeat.
Let's remind ourselves that the best part of our day is the first moments we have in the early morning. It is in these quiet moments that we can meet Jesus face to face in our prayer time. He wants all of us--our undivided attention. Who am I to not give my Creator the very best moments of my day? He created those after all, too.
King David was a morning person. "My voice You shall hear in the morning, O Lord; In the morning I will direct it to You, And I will look up."--Psalms 5:3
Mark 1:35 says Jesus prayed each morning. "Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place, where he prayed."
Praying in the morning, doesn’t just cover your day with prayer, but it puts you in a spiritual mindset before you start your day. I have a list of things I pray about and declare over my day. It’s now a routine, but I look forward to it! And, it’s not the only time I pray. It is the very things I am grateful for, believing God for and therefore I say them aloud every morning before I start my day. Whatever you decide to do, find your own way to pray and spent those precious early morning moments with your gracious and merciful Father.
"But seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be given to you as well."--Matthew 6:33
PRAYER
Lord, thank you for all that you do for me and through me. For guiding and directing me. For giving me words when sometimes I have none. For listening and responding to the very things I encounter. You have shown me that you are so merciful and gracious to me. I give you my morning moments and it is a pleasure to spend this time with you. May these posts provide encouragement to those who need to hear this message. May it be fruitful. May it prosper only you Lord. Thank you for today. I will spend my time with others wisely. In Jesus mighty name. Amen.
We are better together.
Have a blessed day, Kimala
