Help the Widow Who is Truly in Need

Help the Widow Who is Truly in Need

Being respectful to the elderly is truly something that we witness our current culture eroding. It's a major factor in the way our youth are being raised in a careless society. The Christian culture knows better. In 1 Timothy, he clearly is setting up the way culture should behave regarding our elderly and more importantly, our widows in need. Do you have widows in your life today that need your encouragement and perhaps, your assistance? God is calling us to take care of them. If you have an opportunity, please reach out. We can all do better with being conscious about who our widows are and how we can make a difference in their lives.
God calls us to care for our widows in need. Reach out today and make a true difference. Your efforts matter.
1 Timothy Chapter 5
1Do not rebuke an older man harshly, but exhort him as if he were your father. Treat younger men as brothers, 2 older women as mothers, and younger women as sisters, with absolute purity. 3 Give proper recognition to those widows who are really in need. 4 But if a widow has children or grandchildren, these should learn first of all to put their religion into practice by caring for their own family and so repaying their parents and grandparents, for this is pleasing to God.

PRAYER
Lord, I know that you put people in my path all the time. I trust that your word is important enough to be shared. The elderly are to be respected. We must care for the widows in our own families. We need to reach out to the widows that you put before us. Show me who needs help today and I will go. Let our time together be pleasing in your eyes. Thank you Lord for your ways are so so good. We can build a better community if Christ is in the center. In Jesus name, Amen.
We are better together.
