Fruits of the Spirit

DAY ONE: Kindness
Proverbs 16:24 ESV
Gracious words are like a honeycomb,
sweetness to the soul and health to the body.

What is beautiful about the fruits of the spirit is that we do not have to address them in exact order. Each one is equal to the next. They are the direct result of us being grafted into the vine of Jesus Christ. Praise God that we can experience the very things He offers when we are in direct relationship with the Holy Spirit which resides in us.

KINDNESS

Definition: the quality of being friendly, generous, and considerate. Warm-heartedness, good deed, favor, the quality of being friendly, generous and considerate.
Other synonyms of kindness are goodwill, warmth, tenderness, selflessness, and benevolence.




The Task Today: Be kind even when others are not. Let your kindness overflow so that others cannot help but experience Jesus through your actions. Take the time to listen well. Be generous. Apply tenderness when necessary. Be selfless and mindful of others. Show favor. Do good deeds.

Exceeding Love We cannot comprehend it. This kind of unconditional love. The outpouring from a Savior who would give anything for us--longing to have relationship with you and I. No man or woman walking this Earth can compare or even come close to loving you the way that Jesus does. No one. Today, dig deep inside to fill the hurt, anger, pain, upset, anxiousness, worry or disappointment with the One True God. His love is exceeding--His love is healing. Allow yourself to be filled to measure--what does that mean exactly? Well, in my mind, it means to the tippy top!!!! He loves you that much.
