Fruits of the Spirit: Goodness

Fruits of the Spirit
DAY FOUR: Goodness
"Do not be deceived: “Bad company ruins good morals.”--1 Cor 15:33
"You are good and do good; teach me your statutes."--Psalm 119:68
"I myself am satisfied about you, my brothers (and sisters), that you yourselves are full of goodness, filled with all knowledge and able to instruct one another."--Romans 15:14

Goodness is living a way that is walking with excellence all the day long. It's the highest of standards. It's exemplifies high moral character with integrity. When you begin to live in a way that does not judge others for their choices, but rather learns to live in accordance to what God wants and desires over your life, you can have goodness because you can live as an open book. Nothing needs to be hidden because you are choosing a life of high morals and honesty. It's refreshing because there are no more lies and remembering which lies you told to who and when and how, etc. Living a life of goodness allows others to see something amazing and it's very attractive to everyone who bears witness to it.

DEFINITION
Goodness: noun. the state or quality of being good. moral excellence; virtue. kindly feeling; kindness; generosity. excellence of quality: goodness of workmanship. the best part of anything; essence; strength.
But, the Bible tells us that the word 'good' actually means holy, pure and righteousness. Literally goodness is godliness.
Synonyms for goodness are integrity, honesty, uprightness, probity, benevolence, benignity, humanity, worth, value.

THE TASK TODAY: Walk upright in all that you do with integrity. Whether it be in work, school or at home, exhibit all your behaviors with good workmanship not slacking in any way and showing the best in moral character. Everything you do should be done in a holy and pure way that if Jesus were standing right there next to you, he would approve and say to you "well done."
We are better together.
Have a blessed day, Kimala
