The Desert will Rejoice

We don't know when Jesus will return, but we are told in the bible to wait expectantly for his arrival. It may or may not happen in our lifetime. While we continue to see prophesy unfold, many accounts written that are said to come, are indeed happening, yet we must trust that God's plan will unfold only when He deems it so. We read that oh what a day of rejoicing it will be for God's people! His earth will rise up to acknowledge its Creator! The church is being despised and deserted by its people. God says clearly that what was once cast aside to be left for wilderness will indeed BLOOM!
“The wilderness and the land will be glad; the desert will rejoice and blossom like a rose. It will bloom profusely and rejoice with joy and singing.”--Isaiah 35:1-2

Jamieson-Fausset-Brown's Bible Commentary explains it well:
"And as the land of God’s enemies, which was exceeding fruitful, shall be turned into a desolate wilderness, as was declared in the foregoing chapter; so, on the contrary, Emmanuel’s land, or the seat of God’s church and people, which formerly was deserted and despised like a wilderness, and which the rage and malice of their enemies had brought to desolation, shall flourish exceedingly."
PRAYER
Lord, thank you for giving us a glimpse into how great and vast we will acknowledge you, our Almighty Creator, when Jesus returns. We will rejoice with joy and singing! Even in a barren desert, there is beauty created by you. The cactus flower will remind me of your promises. I trust that your plans are so much better than I can even imagine. Help me when I feel down or discouraged. Lift me up with the hope I have in you. Keep me along the path of righteousness. Assist me when I stumble or fall. Your glory shines! Show me the way. In Jesus name, Amen.
We are better together.
Have a blessed day, Kimala
