Guaranteed Assurance

Guaranteed Assurance

In this day and age, we have grown to learn that we cannot always trust other people's word. People will enter into written contracts with long lists of legal jargon to support, defend and certainly not be held liable in case of any legal actions. Trusting others to give their verbal word can be a shaky endeavor. Over time, we may loosen our commitment levels with one another, for sake of friendship or family ties, or even for the sake of unmet expectations we place over others. We may not want to be disappointed when they aren't met. In our own humanness, we may be the one to falter in keeping our word. This can cause much strife in our lives because in these cases, walking away from relationships can become the norm. God tells us in Romans 8 that we may face a slew of things that could cause separation from Christ's love, but it won't. We can hold steadfast to this commitment with guaranteed assurance that there is nothing that will cause us to be separated from the love of Christ. Nothing.
This contract cannot be broken.
Romans 8
35Who shall separate us from the love of Christ? Shall trouble or distress or persecution or famine or nakedness or danger or sword? 36As it is written:
“For Your sake we face death all day long; we are considered as sheep to be slaughtered.”
37No, in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us. 38For I am convinced that neither death nor life, neither angels nor principalities, neither the present nor the future, nor any powers, 39neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord.

PRAYER

Lord, thank you for your expansive love over us. Your promise, your guaranteed assured contract with us resounds over all the earth that we will never be separated from your love. In my heart, I can cling to this. While others may disappoint me with breaking their word, you never will. I am forever in the embrace of your loving arms. When troubles come at us, and they will, you've told me so, I can meet them head on because your love will see me through. My hope is in you. All day long, I will remind myself that our bond will never break. I can hear you whisper, "I got you." My heart is settled. Thank you for calling me a conqueror and lifting me up during my times of trouble. I can be encouraged by your love and knowing nothing will ever separate us. In Jesus mighty name, Amen.
We are better together.
Have a blessed day, Kimala
