Delivered from Captivity of Sin

 Delivered from Captivity of Sin

Before Christ, we were slaves to sin. It was the invisible bondage that kept us tied to the heaviest of rocks that we dragged around, unable to loosen their bindings. What is that like to never be free from all the mistakes you have ever made in your past? Without Christ, it is a dark and lonely place with no rest. Captivity is no joke. Satan wants to keep us in a mental and sometimes physical jail on earth, hoping we never fully realize our place at the cross. His devilish wish is to keep you in bondage until after death where he can have you burning in hell for eternity for all your sins. RUN!

Drop your old life at the foot of the cross and take up your new life with Christ!
Jesus can set you free indeed. Here in Isaiah 55 he shows us his mercy and grace on his people that were enslaved and brought out of captivity to live the rest of their lives with freedom and peace, but furthermore, to spend an eternity with God. Replace the anguish from sin with joy in your heart and live in peace that our Savior has you in the palm of his mighty hand.
Isaiah 55
11 so My word that proceeds from My mouth will not return to Me empty, but it will accomplish what I please, and it will prosper where I send it. 12 You will indeed go out with joy and be led forth in peace; the mountains and hills will burst into song before you, and all the trees of the field will clap their hands. 13 Instead of the thornbush, a cypress will grow, and instead of the brier, a myrtle will spring up; they will make a name for the LORD, an everlasting sign, never to be destroyed."--Isaiah 55:11-13

PRAYER

Lord, thank you that we can drop our old sin at the foot of the cross. You are a mighty God indeed, a kind and just God. You say that all we need to do is ask for forgiveness of our sins, part ways from that old life and its choices, and follow Jesus the rest of my days. I believe in my Savior and his redemption of my sins. I am so thankful that you do not hold onto old sin--you forget about it once you pardon me from it. You are a God of no old grudges against me. Thank you Lord for being so gracious with me. I am thankful for you setting me free to live with joy and peace in my destiny. One day I will finally see all that you have prepared for me in heaven and oh, how wonderful it will be. In Jesus precious name, Amen.
We are better together.
Have a blessed day, Kimala
