The Tomb is Empty and Hope Arises

The Tomb is Empty and Hope Arises

Moving past Easter, it would be too easy to tuck away this holiday and search for the next. We can admit that we look for happiness in our earthly ways, but we know deep inside where our true hope comes from, blessing us in all ways. Spending the weekend with God brings things to fullness as we continue to read in Luke about what happens next when Jesus appeared to his disciples in Galilee after the tomb was found empty. We listen to Jesus speak to them about fulfilling the prophesy of everything that was written about him from the law of Moses, the Prophets and the Psalms (vs 44). He didn't say some of it, he said all of it. This gives us complete validation in what was written in the Old Testament!
Jesus rose up to be seated at the right hand of God in Heaven and is the everlasting Redeemer for all of us!
We don't have to question what this means for us. Repentance of our sins is necessary to accept what Jesus offers. He is our Hope! We can put all our faith in Him. It is our calling to continue to spread the good news until Jesus returns or our last breath has been given. Here are our instructions. Who am I to doubt? Our Redeemer Lives!
Luke Chapter 24
44 He said to them, “This is what I told you while I was still with you: Everything must be fulfilled that is written about me in the Law of Moses, the Prophets and the Psalms.”45Then he opened their minds so they could understand the Scriptures. 46 He told them, “This is what is written: The Messiah will suffer and rise from the dead on the third day, 47 and repentance for the forgiveness of sins will be preached in his name to all nations, beginning at Jerusalem. 48 You are witnesses of these things. 49 I am going to send you what my Father has promised; but stay in the city until you have been clothed with power from on high.”
The Ascension of Jesus
50 When he had led them out to the vicinity of Bethany, he lifted up his hands and blessed them. 51 While he was blessing them, he left them and was taken up into heaven. 52 Then they worshiped him and returned to Jerusalem with great joy. 53 And they stayed continually at the temple, praising God.

PRAYER
I encourage you to pray today of ways you can be led by the Holy Spirit to spread the good news about Jesus to those who need to hear.
We are better together.
Have a blessed day, Kimala
