Good Friday for a Sinner Like Me

Good Friday for a Sinner Like Me

Each year, Good Friday is celebrated as the day that Jesus was crucified on the cross, the day the Righteous One died for the sin of all humans and offered up His precious blood to atone (propitiate, reconcile, answer) for our sins. On this day, let us reflect on what God has done for us--the overflowing love He lavishes on us freely, the forgiveness He gives though none deserve it and the mercy of His salvation. For without it, we will certainly perish.
We don't deserve his mercy, but He gives it to us freely!
Wherever you are in your walk with God, whether you are on fire, or joyous, or weary, or doubting, or hurting, or in lack, or sick, you can go back to the Word of God. Today, be encouraged with the biblical word declaring the goodness and faithfulness He has displayed from the beginning and be assured that He will indeed finish His work in your life.
Remember, it all begins with the cross.
“...who will mock him and spit on him, flog him and kill him. Three days later he will rise.” —Mark 10:34

PRAYER
Lord, thank you for your loving and tender mercy on us. We are sinners, but the price was paid with Jesus's death. His spotless blood washes away the worse of transgressions. We don't deserve it, yet it's given to us freely. How many times do I feel guilty and wish I could pay for the gift, but you tell us to lay down our old like and take up a new life with Christ. Ask for forgiveness of our sins and you will forgive and forget. As I continue on this journey, I will let today's words sink in as I value my freedom in Christ from the sins that could separate us. Thank you for giving your Son to us so that we may have a life forever in your presence. In Jesus Mighty Name we pray, Amen.
We are better together.
Have a blessed day, Kimala
